PORT ADELAIDE has named Darcy Byrne-Jones for his debut game against Essendon on Friday night.

The Power has brought Byrne-Jones, Paul Stewart and Karl Amon into its line-up following injury hits to the team that lost to Adelaide in Round 2.

Alipate Carlile (wrist), Chad Wingard (hamstring) and Dougal Howard (omitted) won’t front the Dons.

Byrne-Jones will become Port’s 159th AFL player and its second to make his AFL debut in 2016 following Howard’s first appearance last week.

Charlie Dixon and Jimmy Toumpas have also make their club debuts in the opening two rounds.

Changes for Maggies

The elevation of three players into the Power has hit the Magpies ahead of a crucial match against North Adelaide at Alberton on Saturday.

The Magpies are yet to win a game in 2016, and will welcome back Howard and contracted league players Louis Sharrad, Tom Gray and debutant Nathan Rudloff.

Rudloff is the second player to sign onto the Magpies contract list, following Sean Davidson last week.

The 22-year-old, 184cm defender is the former captain of Tea Tree Gully and is an exciting hard runner capable of playing through the midfield as well as in defence.

Ciaran Hollingworth-Hughes has also been named in the squad.
