JACK HOMBSCH has been shortlisted for the Jim Stynes Community Leadership Award for the second consecutive year.
Hombsch was last year nominated by Port Adelaide - and made the final cut - for the award, eventually won by Carlton's Dennis Armfield.
The award recognises significant work in the community by an AFL player.
Hombsch was nominated alongside Geelong's Jimmy Bartel, Gold Coast's Jarrod Harbrow and Melbourne's Neville Jetta.
He is a volunteer ambassador and mentor for the Inclusive Sport SA C7 division of the Adelaide Football League, the Bedford Group, Kick Start for Kids and the Salisbury Connect inclusion program.
Jack's brother Todd has Down syndrome, and Jack has worked with a number of disability service and community organisation to promote inclusiveness and participation opportunities in the community.
Past winners of the Jim Stynes Community Leadership Award include Carlton’s Dennis Armfield (2015), West Coast Eagles’ Beau Waters (2014), Gold Coast Suns’ Zac Smith (2013) and Richmond’s Daniel Jackson (2012).
The award will be presented at the 2016 Brownlow Medal count with the winner to have $20,000 from the AFL and $20,000 from the Jim Stynes Foundation to be donated to the charity or community program of their choice.
