On the performance
It was a great game of footy, but one side ended up losing by three points. It's a small margins game we play, and that's the result we get. I'm proud of the effort, proud of the performance, really disappointed we lost, I don't like losing.
On losing stoppages
There's no doubt the stoppage score was the difference in the game, but as I said, when you get a small margin game like that, they took their opportunities. In the end you're separated by three points.
On inside 50s
Usually if you can maintain [inside 50s] for the full game you'll end up winning the game of football. Obviously we played a high quality team today and they fought back.
If we look at it in real detail we'll all find somewhere where we could've done a little bit more at the right time. Unfortunately we didn't get it done.
On how Port is playing
We've been playing good footy. We haven't got the result today, but we've been building. Our people will go home today, and they never go home happy - Port people - when we lose, but they go home today knowing that the team ... had a real crack at it. They'll be disappointed that we lost as [the players are] and as I am.
On the performance by the players
They know they played a pretty strong game of football today. We played a top four football side today, and it was a cracking game of football.
We're a really good tackling side, if you look at the numbers across the year we'd be right at the top ... I thought we tackled really fiercely today.
