Near-perfect winter conditions are expected for the clash under lights between Port Adelaide and Richmond at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.
The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted partly cloudy conditions, with the temperature sitting at 15 degrees.
The bureau has also forecasted winds westerly at 15 to 20km/h turning northwesterly during the afternoon.
The chances of showers are slight at 20 per cent.
