WE start this edition of Inside Alberton with news of a pretty unique purchase.
Former player and current club physio Michael ‘Wilbur’ Wilson recently bought a bus and has gone about the ultimate makeover.
Fully decked out with bunk beds to sleep the six members of the Family Wilson, a sink, and a bathroom (a bucket), the Wilsons are hoping to set off on a family trip around Australia after entering a nationwide competition (this is their entry video).

We just hope the bus gets painted with some mad lightning bolts.
Dad's coaching clinic
In keeping with the family theme, Jay Schulz’s kids are making the most of dad’s spare time on the sidelines by soaking up some extra coaching.
Here’s Beau having a run on the inside turf.
…and Halo at her first AusKick game. A couple of father/son and father/daughter picks in the making perhaps?
Whitey on the conversion trail
Matty White took some time out to see his ‘self proclaimed god son’ Mitchell. After he got over the terrified look in this photo, it wasn’t long before young Mitchell was decked out in a Port guernsey as our newest supporter.
And more family ties...
Hamish Hartlett’s niece Indianna might be a bit of a regular on Uncle Hammer’s Instagram, but it took until Round 7 this year for her to make her debut at a Port Adelaide game.
And Charlie Dixon also welcomed a few old friends into the rooms after another home game at Adelaide Oval.
Out in the community
Continuing his role as a great supporter of children with cancer, Boaky stopped by the Women’s and Children’s Hospital to catch up with Holly.
All the players at the club are huge supporters of the Power's Community programs, with the Indigenous boys showing this recently with their support of the Aboriginal Power Cup.
Here’s Chad Wingard getting around some young guns down at Alberton Oval.
And finally, Hamish Hartlett was joined by teammates and players around the league to support International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.
Extinct?
Making the most of a recent trip interstate, Brad Ebert, Brandon Ah Chee, Aaron Young and Jack Hombsch took the chance to visit Jurassic World. From all accounts they were Raptor be there.
Dog Whisperers?
Ollie Wines and John Butcher are putting their coaching hats on… with their greyhound. A win from Trigger Bling suggests we might have a couple of dog whisperers around the club, could come in handy Round 12 when we face the Western Bulldogs.
No Power for Dixon
We’re pretty happy Charlie Dixon made the move down to Adelaide, and we can see he’s getting used to the colder weather with a home made fire. Better prepare Charlie, winter is coming…
Extreme alternatives
For all young players reading this, it is important to look after your body with recovery. You can either follow Boaky’s lead here with a traditional recovery at the beach…
Or for something new, follow Jackson Trengove’s lead with cryotherapy recovery in temperatures of about -110º.

And it wouldn't be an Inside Alberton without celebrating someone’s birthday. Today we’re getting around Jake Neade who turned 22 last weekend. Thanks to Chad for this birthday post!
