BRISBANE could welcome back star midfielder Daniel Rich for Saturday afternoon’s clash against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.
Rich missed his side’s loss to Melbourne at the GABBA after rupturing a ligament at the front of his left ankle in the Lions’ loss to St Kilda in Round 1.
The 27-year-old didn’t require surgery and will be assessed on a week-by-week basis, meaning he could come into contention for the game against the Power.
Forward Mitch Robinson is likely to return after completing a one-match suspension for striking St Kilda's Seb Ross in Round 1.
He would be eager to get back on the park, having sat out most of last season with a broken bone in his foot.
The Lions showed some quality when they fought back from 42-points down to draw level with the Demons on Saturday night, and it was largely due to three goals each from the dangerous Charlie Cameron and Allen Christensen, while Dayne Zorko got busy in the midfield.
Ultimately the home side fell short to lose by 26 points, and they’ll come to Adelaide hungry to open their account in season 2018.
Milestones: Captain Dayne Beams will play his 150th AFL match against Port Adelaide on Saturday, while Nick Robertson will play his 50th.
