The aggression of Port Adelaide against the pest-like Giants was strong, emphatic and backed up with on-field performance. Not to mention a best-on-ground performance from Brendon Ah Chee and another solid showing from Sam Gray.

The Giants were able to get over the back and break Port's structures on a couple of occasions. That sort of defending won't cut it against the premiership favourites on Friday night.
BIZARRE: Scoring stats against the Hawks
Red flag
The Hawks are a red flag in themselves. Port Adelaide is going into this game with an undermanned defence following the loss of both Alipate Carlile and Jackson Trengove through season-ending surgery, so Jack Hombsch and Tom Jonas will need to stand up in key defensive positions, as will John Butcher who is a strong chance to be thrown back. Port can't let the Hawks get on a run at Etihad.
