THE STAKES
Port Adelaide had a chance to jump up the ladder last week with a win. It didn't win, and it didn't climb. Instead, the Power remain stagnant in 12th place on the ladder, playing the 10th placed Richmond this weekend. The stakes, needless to say, are huge this weekend. A loss to either team will throw it into a pack of sides vying for the top eight, and losing further touch with the competition leaders. The intensity will need to be up.
Port Adelaide is poised to welcome back Ollie Wines and Alipate Carlile for Sunday's game - both are big inclusions. Wines would add much needed oomph to the Power's midfield while Carille is in superb form, having only missed last week's loss to Brisbane with back tightness. Richmond players Ben Griffiths, Chris Newman and Shane Edwards are all undergoing fitness tests ahead of selection.
THE HISTORY
There's definitely a history between these two clubs. Port Adelaide has the overall lead on the ledger but the Tigers have taken three of the last five wins. There's also been some heat in the last couple of encounters between the two sides, with Kane Cornes retiring from AFL football too, the stage is set for a cracking game.
Send off a champion in style.
