ROBBIE Gray suffered a mild concussion after his head hit the turf in a Bryce Gibbs' tackle at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.
Despite being taken from the ground on a stretcher prior to half time, the decision to sub Gray out of the game wasn't made until several minutes into the third quarter, after doctors had determined the midfielder had suffered a mild concussion.
Gray had been one of the Power's stars in the first half with 15 disposals, 8 clearances and 2 goals, but player safety came first, according to High Performance Manager Darren Burgess.
"Any time there is a concussion, you can't take any risks with a player - the rules state as much," Burgess said.
"Robbie is fine now and he's in no doubt for our game after the bye (against Sydney)."
There were no other injury concerns to come out of the game for the Power.
