KARL Amon will become the 156th man to play for Port Adelaide in the AFL this Sunday when he makes his AFL debut against the Brisbane Lions.
It comes on the back of good form by Amon in the SANFL, which led to him being named the club's Player of the Week against Norwood in Round 4.
Amon was drafted to the club with pick 68 in the 2013 national draft from Sandringham Dragons, playing throughout most of the 2014 SANFL season, including last year's grand final.
A bumper pre-season on the track where he posted personal bests in time trials and mixed it with seasoned players aided his strong start to this season in the SANFL.
He'll be joined in the Power's line-up by Jarman Impey and Cam O'Shea.
Aaron Young and Brendon Ah Chee will play in the SANFL this week after both being omitted, while Alipate Carlile is our with back tightness.
Ah Chee needs full game: coach
Port Adelaide plays the Crows in the SANFL Showdown at Balaklava at 1:10pm on Sunday, before facing the Lions at the Gabba at 4:40pm (AEST).
