PORT Adelaide member Craig McKay, aka Macca19 from BigFooty, continues his player reviews in 2015, giving us his top five players from the clash with Freo in Perth.

Macca's Top Five
Ollie Wines
Just an absolute monster of a performance. Started off the game with a bang with a huge first quarter before Suban shut him out in the 2nd quarter. Had a big second half, constantly winning the hard ball and finding room up forward to kick 2 goals, including a key goal in the last that should have seen us steady. He had it all out there – strength, skill, leadership. Even in contests where he looks out of it he can just bustle his way through and win the ball.

Jared Polec
Thought Jared played one of his best games of AFL football tonight. Barely wasted a disposal and I thought his run and carry was critical at times throughout the game. At times he seemed to be the only one willing to break the lines and give 2nd, 3rd & 4th efforts across 100+ metres. His foot skills are an absolute joy to watch, his ability to hit the target across any distance and any difficulty is brilliant.

Brad Ebert
A true gut running, grinding performance. Was used as the main link man coming out of the backline where he was able to take heaps of marks and set up the play from half back. Didn’t see him spend a heap of time in the middle of the ground so it may be a new role for him. Found heaps of space on the wings when working harder up the ground. Could have been higher but thought Wines and Polec were just a bit cleaner.

Jackson Trengove
Thought he played a great game at centre half back on Clarke. Thought for much of the game he controlled what Fremantle were able to do going forward. Always seemed to be in the right spot for either a spoil or a mark. A number of crunching hits at the right time.

Jarman Impey
A very mature performance by Jarman in what was probably his best game at AFL level. Thought he kept Ballantyne completely out of the game and one on one he was an absolute monster! If that’s what we can expect this year then he will be a wonderful addition to our first 18. Has improved his composure in one on one contests but just needs to improve his disposal a bit more. Wonderful game Jars!
