portadelaidefc.com.au takes a look at who’s in the mix for selection for both sides as Port Adelaide face GWS in front of a home crowd this Saturday.
Port Adelaide
With no new injuries reported in the senior group, coaching staff will have an open selection table this week with no forced changes.
Kane Mitchell came away from the SANFL clash against North Adelaide with the Peter Jackson Player of the Week. Collecting 38 disposals, five marks and a goal, coach Garry Hocking labelled it Mitchell’s best performance of the year. He could be a look in to step up to the top level against the Giants.
SANFL Report: Round 12 catch-up
After spending a week with the Magpies following a spell of poor form in the AFL, it looks like Angus Monfries has found his groove again and will be pushing for his place back in the Power.
He booted an impressive four majors against the Roosters, proving dangerously clever around the goals for Port Adelaide.
Nathan Krakouer is another possibility after a cracking performance in the Magpies. His flexibility in the forward line and also up back could provide options for the Power under pressure.
Karl Amon, Brendon Ah Chee and Jesse Palmer also fared well in the SANFL clash and could be an inside chance.

GWS
With injury likely forcing two key mids and a defender off the field this week, GWS will be shaking a few things up in their Round 20 side to take on Port Adelaide.
Adam Treloar and Tom Scully definitely won’t play, while Stephen Coniglio is in doubt after copping a concussion in last week’s game.
ENEMY: Three possible outs for Giants
Senior coach Leon Cameron said there’s plenty of depth in the Giants’ ranks to fill the gaps; suggesting tall forward Cam McCarthy and mid/fwd James Stewart could be in with a chance to play.
Defensive relief could also come from small defender Zac Williams who is expected be available for selection after missing last week with hamstring soreness.
