AFL Indigenous All-Stars skipper Shaun Burgoyne says he teammates from Friday night's exhibition game would benefit from the game when they return to their home clubs this week.
That includes Power players Jake Neade and Jarman Impey, who played in the All-Stars' narrow loss to the Eagles at Medibank Stadium in Perth.
The All-Stars led by 10 points at the main break before conceding three unanswered goals in the second half to fall eight points short at the final siren.
Inaccuracy counted against the All-Stars in the final two quarters, but Burgoyne reckons all of the team's players will take some benefit from the intensity of the game.
"No doubt we will benefit from that because the game was played at a pretty high intensity for a practice match," Burgoyne said.
"It was disappointing to lose, but it tops off a good week."
10,000 watched the game played in warm conditions in Leederville which concluded a week-long indigenous camp run by the AFL Players' Association.
Port Adelaide's own indigenous contingent, including Chad Wingard, Paddy Ryder, Karl Amon, Brendon Ah Chee, Nathan Krakouer and Neade and Impey attended the camp.
