AFL
AT the mid-point of the season Robbie Gray holds the lead in the Wok in a Box Fans’ MVP award, but a number of players are chasing him down heading into the back half of the year.
Gray has polled in 10 of the 12 games played, including three successive best-on-ground performances, while also managing to earn a vote in the round 12 game against Carlton where he only played one half. He currently sits on 29 votes.
While Gray has held top position on the leader board for the entire season, a number of players are polling well and could catch Gray to take out the award at the end of the season.
Brad Ebert (23 votes) and Travis Boak (22 votes) sit in second and third place, with the two leaders both polling consistently across the first half of the year after some superb on-field efforts.
After a slow start to the season, Chad Wingard is back to his influential best and has been rewarded by the supporters in the last few weeks, while Jack Hombsch rounds out the top five with the young defender in career-best form.
Fans can cast 3,2,1 votes online each week at fansmvp.portadelaidefc.com.au which are then scaled to award five votes to the player with the most votes in that round, four votes to the player with the second-most votes and so on.
