PORT Adelaide is set to receive a major boost for its trip to China, with midfielder Tom Rockliff cleared of a serious hamstring injury and on track to face St Kilda in Shanghai on Sunday.

Rockliff failed to finish the Power's 31-point loss to Hawthorn in Launceston on Saturday, but scans on Monday came back positive.

"The scan was pretty good, he's run today, so he'll be on the plane Tuesday," Power assistant coach Nathan Bassett told reporters on Monday afternoon.

"We wouldn't take him if we didn't think he was a good chance to play, so we think he's a good chance."

Ruckman Scott Lycett will also make the overseas trip after overcoming an adductor injury, while defender Ryan Burton will have to pass a fitness test on his injured hamstring on Tuesday before getting the all clear.

"We'll test him tomorrow and then we'll know more, but if he tests fine tomorrow, then he'll go as well," Bassett said.

"Scott will be fine."

Vice-captain Hamish Hartlett will be a part of the 26-player travelling party after making a long-awaited comeback from a hamstring injury in the SANFL on Sunday.

Hartlett had 18 disposals and kicked a goal in Port Adelaide's 49-point loss to Glenelg.

It was Hartlett's first game since the opening round of the SANFL after having a setback in his return from a torn ACL that forced him to miss most of last season.

"Hamish will be coming, so he'll be there," Bassett said.

"It's good for him to be back, he got through unscathed, he was happy enough with the way he went.

"He's been out for a long time, so it's a big ask to expect him to play just yet, but he'll be travelling with us."

The Power (5-5) are aiming for their third straight win in Shanghai, with both of their previous victories coming against Gold Coast.
