PORT Adelaide midfielder-forward Robbie Gray has a suspected tear to the ACL in his right knee, after landing heavily in the final minute of Saturday's 24-point loss to Collingwood.

The extent of the damage will be known on Monday when the 24-year-old undergoes scans.

Gray went up in a marking contest and landed straight-legged in a classic 'hyper-extension' motion after being knocked off balance in mid-air.

He was stretchered off the ground with just 30 seconds remaining in play.

Up until that point, Gray had booted two goals and collected 16 possessions to be one of his team's best.

Gray was Port Adelaide's leading goal-kicker in 2011 when he played every minor round game.

He was playing only his second match of 2012 having missed the games against St Kilda and Essendon with hamstring soreness.
