PORT ADELAIDE young gun Connor Rozee will auction a signed pair of his football boots in order to raise much-needed money for Ronald McDonald House.
Rozee and the rest of his first-to-fourth-year teammates visited the organisation - which is celebrating its 20th anniversary in Adelaide this year - on Tuesday as part of an AFL player development program run by Port Adelaide development coach Matthew Lokan.
Port Adelaide players have already been collecting money to donate to the charity through a range of player-led initiatives, but Rozee wanted to do more.
The silky right-footer has generously donated the signed pair of his match-worn football boots, and is hoping to raise as much money as possible for the charity that accommodates more than 200 families with seriously ill children at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital each year.
Xavier Duursma and Jackson Mead will also be auctioning a signed Port Adelaide guernsey each, with 100 per cent of the donations of all three items going directly to Ronald McDonald House.
You can bid for the items through SE Products’ live auction site.
The auction will close Friday 7 February, so make sure to get your bids in knowing the money will go to a fantastic cause.
