TRAVIS BOAK has been in more Port Adelaide members’ wallets than any other player past or present, but there’s nothing to worry about.
Boak has been selected by more members than any other player to feature on their customised 2020 membership cards as part of a new offering by the club this season.
As part of an enhanced membership pack, members were given a scarf featuring the club’s 150th anniversary logo and the option to choose from 20 designs for their membership card featuring past or present players.
While the new logo is the most popular choice, featuring in 25% of all selections, Boak was the most popular player among members with 13% electing to have the former skipper and two-time John Cahill Medallist in their wallet.
Russell Ebert was next best with 8.9%, reflecting his iconic standing within the supporter base despite finishing his career 35 years ago.
The four-time Magarey Medal winner and six-time best and fairest winner for the club came in ahead of 2019 AFL Rising Star runner up Connor Rozee (7.8%), inaugural AFL captain Gavin Wanganeen (7.6%) and three-time John Cahill Medallist Robbie Gray (6.4%).
It’s an amazing feat by Rozee to be so popular with members after just one season at the club but the 20-year-old undeniably has a huge future in the Power colours.
