SKIPPER Travis Boak and defender Jackson Trengove could make earlier than expected returns, and line up against Collingwood this Saturday.

Boak had surgery to repair a dislocated finger following the GWS game in Round 12 and was expected to miss two weeks while Trengove has had a long lay-off with a foot injury.

Director of coaching and strategy Alan Richardson told The Advertiser the pair have been given 'the green light' to resume.

"We think they will be available but we want to see how they feel (after Wednesday's training) before making any decisions," Richardson told The Advertiser.

"We're optimistic with both of them but how well they pull up will be important."
