IN the first episode of MG Moments, former Port Adelaide captain Tim Ginever describes the moment he truly came to understand what it meant to buy into the ‘Port Adelaide way’.

Ginever recollects that after receiving a call from a supporter that an old club mural was being thrown away and going to pick it up he discovered a sign that used to hang in the Magpies changerooms.

“It was a sign that I saw when I first walked into the changerooms as an 18-year-old,” he remembered.

“It said, ‘Individuals win the ball. Teams win games. Clubs win premierships.’”

It was a moment that stuck with Ginever over a decorated 314-game career with Port Adelaide that included ultimate success as a club a remarkable seven times.
