What would you rate as the strengths of your game?
Clean hands, decision making, consistency, skills.

Do you currently play or have played any other sports? If so, at what level?
Cricket. U15 state team, now playing locally.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career and why?
Dad. He gives me constructive criticism and feedback about my games and encourages and supports me.

What do you hope to be in five years time?
A consistent AFL player, playing my best footy. Either studying at university or have completed a degree. A person respected by everyone for my character.

Who has been your most difficult opponent and why?
Nick Gill. He was faster, stronger and more experienced than me. Was difficult to know whether to play him from in front or behind, as he is pretty versatile.

If you had to describe the Port Adelaide Football Club what would you say?
It's a successful, proud club full of tradition. Its history is a solid foundation of what the club is about, but its future can be just as good. I'm a Port supporter so I'd say it's the best club in the AFL.

Which AFL players do you try to model yourself on?
I watch (West Coast’s) Andrew Embley for his run, and (Port Adelaide’s) Travis Boak has come through this only a few years ago so I look up to him a bit. He’s stepped up to the pace of AFL pretty well. Brett Kirk, I love how he gets his head over the ball and takes whatever’s coming.

Jason McCartney says: He's a solid all-rounder and someone you'd love to have in your team. He's probably not going to be one of the stars, but he runs hard, he runs straight and he's disciplined. I know Vossy (ex-AIS/AFL development coach and new Brisbane Lions coach Michael Voss) encouraged him to take the opposition on a bit more when he gets the footy and you could see in games where he was actually trying to act on that.
