While Kane and Lucy Cornes wowed the cameramen with their presence on the Blue Carpet at the 2010 Brownlow Medal, it was Cornes' exciting midfield compatriot Travis Boak who picked up the most Brownlow votes for the Power.
Boak, who played 20 games for the year, stormed home in the count, being awarded 3 votes in the final two games of the year for best on ground performances against the Demons at home and then against the Tigers in Melbourne.
The midfielder, who signed a new deal during 2010 to commit his future at the Power, also earned the umpire's accolades against Melbourne in Round 9 in the heat and humidity of Darwin. Boak's 16 votes placed him as the highest vote-getter for both South Australian clubs, 1 vote ahead of Adelaide's Scott Thompson.
Amazingly, after the first 7 rounds of the season David Rodan was leading the Port Adelaide vote count, having missed the first three rounds of the year after overcoming LARS surgery on his injured knee during the 2010 pre-season.
Kane Cornes, recently awarded his third John Cahill Medal as the best and fairest player for the Port Adelaide Football Club, picked up 6 votes in the count, including top accolades against West Coast in Port's 1 point win in Round 20.
