Dear Members and supporters,
June 11, 2020. Mark it down true believers, footy is back!!
We may have to spend a few weeks on the road, and get tested like lab rats for a while…but who cares?!
As I left the office yesterday afternoon after another wild day in this fast moving drama, our groundsmen were cutting the Alberton Oval turf and drawing out the 50 meter arc in readiness for the return of the boys for training on Monday morning.
It was a welcome dose of normality, before we head up to the Gold Coast for a couple of weeks of full contact training commencing May 25… And then we’re on!
I’ve been asked all day how we feel about the changing regulations and the ‘disadvantage’ of having to travel away to play. Well, we won’t have a bar of it!
Footy’s back and the boys can’t wait to get into it!
Yes, it’s going be a season like no other and will look and feel different, but we are absolutely intent on bringing you on the journey with us every step of the way.
