ROBBIE Gray will be chasing his third Showdown Medal as he ticks the boxes in his recovery from a broken toe.
The veteran forward trained strongly over the weekend and Port Adelaide captain Tom Jonas believes Gray is ready to tear the Crows apart.
"He's (Gray) a bit of a Showdown guru and he's timed his run just right," Jonas said.
Port Adelaide will head into round two with a relatively healthy list, but there's still some hoops to jump through before team selection.
"There's a few boys who have to get through a test on Thursday, big 'Scooter' (Scott Lycett), Mitch Georgiades and Robbie obviously but we're pretty confident they'll be right to play," Port Adelaide skipper Tom Jonas said.
Xavier Duursma has recovered from a hamstring strain, which leaves Willem Drew (foot) and Tobin Cox (quad) as the only players unavailable for selection.
Key forward Charlie Dixon is another player who could give the Crows a few headaches after returning to training in top condition.
"He's champing at the bit big 'Chaz', he's had a long off-season but he's big, fit and strong and dominating at training," Jonas said.
"He's just an enigma for us, he brings a heap of energy and he's a man mountain with that presence so it will be great to have 'Chaz' out there."
The Showdown is typically a fiery contest, but the passion came a little earlier than expected across town during one of Adelaide's training sessions where a fracas broke out between ex-Power ruckman Billy Frampton and Kyle Hartigan.
"Bill's got a little bit of niggle in him so there's no surprise that something like that might happen at training," Jonas said of his former teammate.
"We've had our own scuffles from time to time, probably nothing that’s escalated to that level but the boys get under each other's skins and it's just what we do."
