Port Adelaide welcomes today’s announcement by South Australian Premier Steven Marshall that 2000 club Members and 240 corporate clients will be able to attend Saturday night’s Round 2 Showdown at Adelaide Oval.

Port Adelaide chief executive Keith Thomas thanked the Government for their support.

“The South Australian Government and SA Health have been magnificent in how they have managed the entire Covid-19 pandemic here in South Australia, including our transition out of shutdown,” Mr Thomas said.

“We have always maintained we’ll be guided by the Government and relevant health authorities on these matters so we are fully supportive of today’s decision.”

Mr Thomas confirmed the split of tickets is a 1475 allocation to Port Adelaide Football Club Members, 475 to Adelaide Football Club Members and the remaining 50 to Adelaide Oval Members.

“As a club we are delighted that 1475 of our loyal Members will be able to attend this game, along with some of our corporate clients who have stood by the club throughout these uncertain times.

“We will allocate the 1475 tickets amongst our Membership base via a ballot system. The club will communicate specific details to our Members as soon as we can.

“Of course, we wish we could have all our Members at the ground on Saturday night but we know this season will be different and we will strive to provide equal opportunity to all our Members on Saturday night and across the remainder of the season.”
