Power visits regional SA
Over the bye week, players traveled to regional South Australia for community visits
Groups of 3 or 4 players visited schools and football clubs in regions such as Roxby Downs, Pt Augusta, Clare Valley, Gawler, Seaford, Mt Barker, Loxton and many more.
The players hosted assemblies at the schools where they spoke to the students about what it takes to be an elite Athlete such as eating well, being active and making good decisions.
These topics are discussed weekly at our local primary schools as part of our Community Youth Program and the PAFC players love getting their message out to the regional schools as well – some of them returning to their hometown on these trips.
Once school was out the groups headed to various football clubs to host junior clinics with the excited young footballers.
Players were met with open arms at both schools and football clubs and are looking forward to the next time they are able to visit these regions again.
The Power community youth program is supported by BHP Billiton and the South Australian Government – we are kicking goals together.
