THE son of a 2004 AFL Premiership hero will be Port Adelaide's official junior mascot for the first semi final at Patersons Stadium this Saturday.
Taj Schofield, 12, is the son of former Power midfielder Jarrad who joined the club in 1999 and played in its inaugural AFL grand final triumph.
It follows Tex Wanganeen wearing a No. 4 guernsey when he ran out before last weekend's elimination final win over Richmond.
Port Adelaide will continue to assign the children of former players as the club's junior mascot as long as it remains in the 2014 AFL Finals Series.
