HAWTHORN key defender Josh Gibson will miss the Round 10 clash between the Power and the Hawks at Adelaide Oval through injury.

hawthornfc.com.au reports that Gibson injured his left pectoral in a marking contest against the Swans in Round 8.

He was able to play out the game but further assessment revealed he’d ruptured the muscle and will miss around 10 weeks.

The Hawks have been hit hard by injuries, with Gibson joining Sam Mitchell (hamstring), Cyril Rioli (hamstring), Brian Lake (calf) and Brendan Whitecross (knee) on the sidelines.

Key forward Jarryd Roughead will also miss the Round 10 clash through suspension, after he accepted a one-week ban for a high hit on Ben McGlynn in Round 8.
