Tom Clurey
Controlled his opponent very well down in defence and kept (the other) Newton to two behinds after quarter time. Looked to work off him at the right times to be involved in our offence and gave us some real energy and drive from the back half throughout all quarters.

Mitch Harvey
Very competitive in the ruck against a quality opponent in Baulderstone. Jumped in hard at centre bounce and looked to be aggressive at stoppage. Took some good marks around the ground and is developing nicely.

Steven Summerton
Back to a four-quarter effort for Summo this week where he ran really hard and worked to many contests around the ground. Set us up in offence with his ability to make the right decision and execute it with class.

Angus Bruggemann
A good, solid effort from Angus this week. He was a little down on possession but tackled and spoilt with aggression. It's great to see him continue to play each week and give us his best in every contest.

Daniel Flynn
Continues to really impress with his ability to defend his direct matchup and also have a big impact when we win back the ball. He looks really composed and is taking the game on at the right times and is running into trouble less than he did at the start of his career, which he should take confidence from.

Sam Gray
Was really busy and creative as a forward and through the midfield. Sam had great balance in his game with a good number of possessions and a couple of shots on goal. He had six tackles as well, which shows he is doing the little things better.

Nathan Krakouer
Looked really lively up forward but unfortunately it was only for the first half. We still need a four-quarter effort from Krak but he also did try to bring others into the game with creative and smart play.

Brendon Ah Chee
I feel Arch is really having a good patch of form - he has been very consistent with his ability to win his own ball and get good numbers. He looks far more confident getting inside the play and mixing it with the best, but I also like the fact he is making good decisions with the footy.

Mason Shaw
Mason gave us a real good target to kick to very early on. Unfortunately he cannot do this over four quarters at the moment, but there are some good signs of him getting off his opponent and getting shots on goal. He just needs to keep at it and the consistency will come.

Henry Slattery
Was brought into the team late for Aaron Young who got the call up to play against Gold Coast. Henry started the game well but we soon needed him to curb the influence of Panos who was doing some damage around stoppages. Henry did a great team role that helped us in getting over the line in a tough, low-scoring affair.

Lewis Stevenson
One of his better performances for the year, Lewy defended with real aggression (nine tackles) and had good balance getting on the end of some rebound 50s. With a young defensive group, Lewy is really enjoying mentoring and showing the way.

Sam Russell
A stronger performance this week, I like the way this kid can bounce back from games, learn week-to-week and take that into his next performacne. He showed at times that he has some flexibility in his package as he found himself forward on a couple of occasions and looked comfortable playing there.

Karl Amon
Continues to impress and play well at this level. Karl is learning lots along the journey and has shown that he can win his own ball and deliver it very nicely to the forwards. Ran the game out extremely well and is starting to understand more about elite running and running to the right spots on the ground.

Paul Stewart
Settled as a forward this week to support Mason and give us a real lead-up target to kick to. He worked really hard between the arcs, but would like to see a little more forward-50 pressure from him.

Ben Newton
A slow start for Newts this week, Panos was probably just shading him early in the match, but he got going and revelled in the tough, tight contests. He continually put his head over the footy, burst out of stoppages and used the ball quite well to give the forwards plenty of service.

Cam Hitchcock
Started well early, but I was probably a little critical of the fact he was winning the ball a little too deep at times in our back 50. Once he adjusted he made it difficult for his defender, but unfortunately tweaked his ankle a little bit, which limited his output for the remainder of the game. Cam was OK defensively with three tackles for the game.

Darcy Byrne-Jones
A solid game from Darcy - he defended his opponent quite well and continues to be in some good form. He loves to attack the game and test his opponent defensively, and had a tough tussle with the electrifying Wilson from Norwood.

Jarman Impey
Learnt a lot from his Centrals performance and was asked to play on Simon Phillips who had kicked five goals the previous week against West. Jarman did a great job and also rebounded with speed and finished off his work with good efficiency going inside forward 50m.

Robbie Young
I thought Robbie showed great energy and speed throughout the game, he finished with two classy goals and pressured the opposition when the ball was in his area.

John Butcher
Started down back this week after missing some games due to illness. He looked comfortable at times pulling in six marks and was also used forward. He'll continue to take every opportunity to grab some form and confidence heading into finals.

Kane Mitchell
Ran and worked hard over four quarters but this week, but he just found it a bit difficult to win his own ball inside of stoppages. This has been an area he has shown big improvement in, so we will keep asking him to just continue getting better and better. Defensively, he had seven tackles (which is good) and I feel he provided great outside run-and-carry at important times of the game.

Port Adelaide's Round 18 game will be against Glenelg at Glenelg Oval on Saturday 23 August at 2:10pm.
