He will return to Adelaide for scans on Wednesday, with confirmation on his injury expected later in the week.
Match Report
While Schulz was substituted from the match in a sour ending to the Power's night, the game did afford Hamish Hartlett the opportunity to play his first game back from shoulder surgery.
Hartlett had been recovering from surgery throughout the pre-season and was used as a substitute during his first competitive hitout for 2014.
Meanwhile, two defenders continue their recovery from minor injuries back at Alberton.
Alipate Carlile was a late withdrawal from the Power’s first NAB Challenge match, while Campbell Heath has been similarly managed in the last week.
High performance manager Darren Burgess says the pre-season offers the best opportunity to manage players and take no risks with their rehabilitation from injury concerns.
“We don’t start Round 1 until mid-March so it makes sense for us to take precautions now and manage both Bobby [Carlile] and Campbell Heath through some minor soreness issues,” Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.
“We’ve got another weekend off this week, so they should both be around the mark for our trial matches in a fortnight.
“They’re both training hard with the other boys, but we want to make sure we have our list in the best shape possible for Round 1.”
