PORT Adelaide and Sydney will meet on Saturday night at Adelaide Oval in front of a predicted full house, just seven weeks after the two sides met in front of more than 40,000 at the SCG.

Both teams have key players in the frame to return from injury.

Andrew Fuss takes a look at who’s in the mix for the Power and Swans this week.

Port Adelaide
All eyes will be on Jackson Trengove this week at training.

The key defender is hopeful of making his return to action, six weeks after he injured his ankle against the Crows in the Showdown.

Forward Matt White will also face a fitness test this week, but coach Ken Hinkley hinted last week the speedster may spend more time on the sidelines, comparing his injury to that of Tom Jonas’s earlier in the year, when the key defender missed a month of football.

In-form midfielders Kane Mitchell and Sam Gray will again be discussed at the selection table, as will veteran defender Tom Logan and small forward Jake Neade, who booted 3 goals in the SANFL last weekend.

Ken Hinkley said post-game he’d consider several changes, if it was his and the coaches view players had been underperforming for a period of time.

Sydney
Dan Hannebury, who injured his knee against the Power in Round 13, is expected to be available for selection this week.

Swans coach John Longmire confirmed Hannebury would return straight to the AFL if he’s fit, rather than spending a week in the Swans reserves.

Lance Franklin was a late withdrawal against Essendon but is expected to return from a knee injury. Franklin was instrumental in the Swans’ four-point win in Round 13 at the SCG, booting 5 goals.

With those two big names expected to return, it seems very unlikely the visitors would make any other changes, given their very short injury list.
