COLLINGWOOD could host a Port Adelaide side approaching full strength in two Sundays' time with several key Power players set to return.

Port came away from Sunday's win over the Demons with no new injury problems and Ken Hinkley confirmed the scheduled returns of full back Alipate Carlile and Angus Monfries from hamstring injuries against the Pies in Round 19.

Jackson Trengove (ankle) remains an outside chance to front Nathan Buckley's side.

It's good news for the Power, which has been forced to maintain a makeshift defence with Tom Jonas, Jack Hombsch and Cameron O'Shea playing against opposing key forwards.

While their experience up against tall, power forwards has been of benefit for the Power, the impending return of Carlile and Trengove will be a relief for the club's coaches' box.

"[Carlile] plays next game, as long as nothing goes wrong," Hinkley said after Sunday's three-point win over Melbourne.

"He's coming off a hamstring injury, you can have reoccurrences with those sorts of things, but we expect he'll play next game.

"[Trengove] comes back [out of the boot] next week, we expect he'll available for Sydney, with a small chance of [playing] Collingwood."

These approaching returns on the back of the recent comebacks of Andrew Moore and Paul Stewart through the SANFL will see the club's injury list whittle down.

If Cameron Hitchcock is cleared to play the Crows in the SANFL next Saturday, it would leave just Campbell Heath fighting to return by the end of the minor round, with Sam Colquhoun, Brent Renouf and Jarrad Redden all ruled out for the season.

Talking points: Power v Demons

"We're actually getting our list back together because [Andrew] Moore's been back in the SANFL, [Paul] Stewart's been back in the SANFL also," Hinkley said.

"We've got Hitchcock playing, hopefully, in the next SANFL game as well, so that's a few players who've been out for a long time.

"It's not a bad time to get them playing back together."

Port Adelaide's AFL side plays Collingwood at the MCG on August 3, following its SANFL game against the Crows at Alberton on Saturday 26 July.
