Ryan Crowley v Travis Boak
Crowley went to Boak in Round 23 and restricted the Port skipper to 22 disposals - slightly down on Boak's usual impact.

Ross Lyon comfirmed Boak would get the Crowley tag again after Boak lit up the Tigers in the Elimination Final with 34 touches and a goal.

Boak has been superb against the top teams in 2014 so this match-up looms as a key in determining who will advance to play Hawthorn at the MCG in the Prelim Final.

Kane Cornes v Stephen Hill
Not the type of opponent Cornes usually gets, but the veteran did a fantastic job two weeks ago, restricting the speedster to just 14 disposals and quelling Hill's impact on the game.

The match-up isn't a certainty with Hinkley suggesting this week Cornes may need to be versatile against Freo, with a number of quality players rotating through the midfield.

There is no doubting, however, the Power will need to keep Hill in check. When he's given space to run and carry his ability to impact on the game is immense.

Alex Silvagni v Jay Schulz
The hosts will be without veteran key defenders Michael Johnson (back) and Luke McPharlin (calf) because of injury, meaning the job on Jay Schulz is likely to fall to Alex Silvagni.

Schulz was quick to remind media of the job Silvagni did on Schulz in Round 8 where he kept the key forward - who has booted 64 goals in 2014 - to just one goal.

The Power's leading goal kicker paid tribute to Silvagni, saying he's an "extremely underrated" defender.

Silvagni will have his work cut out given Schulz's strong form recently, including a 6-goal haul in Perth two weeks ago.

Alipate Carlile v Matthew Pavlich
The Fremantle captain's ability to impact big games is undoubted. He can be a barometer for the Dockers and the crowd feeds off his energy.

Expect the Power's number one key position defender Alipate Carlile to get the job on Pavlich - though the back six including Jackson Trengove and Jack Hombsch could spend time on him.

Matt Lobbe v Aaron Sandilands
It was an outstanding battle between Lobbe and Sandilands in Round 23 and expect the same again on Saturday. Sandilands shaded Lobbe for hitouts – 37-29 – but Lobbe was able to impact around the ground with 7 tackles.

The biggest ruckman in the league is always a daunting prospect, but Lobbe said during the week he ‘loves a challenge’.

With quality midfielders at ground level for both sides, giving first possession out of the ruck could prove vital in the outcome of the game.

Robbie Gray v Nat Fyfe
Don’t necessarily expect Gray and Fyfe to line-up on each other, but the battle between each side’s most in-form midfielders will be intriguing.

Fyfe missed the encounter in Round 23 while Gray was at his devastating best with 33 disposals, 2 goals and 9 clearances.

Gray has so far avoided a close tag, but don’t be surprised if Fremantle send someone to guard the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year, such has been his form.

Gray’s clearance work has been one of the keys to the Power’s outstanding season and if he can hit the scoreboard, the Power’s chances will improve further.

Fyfe was this week crowned the AFLPA MVP and was near best-on-ground in Round 8 when the two sides met at Adelaide Oval. Fyfe was outstanding with 34 disposals and 2 goals in a losing side.
