Port Adelaide players Brent Renouf and Campbell Heath, who were injured in the club’s SANFL match against North Adelaide last Saturday, have both undergone knee surgeries.

26-year-old Renouf had surgery to repair a ruptured patella tendon on his left knee.

High performance manager Darren Burgess says he’ll now miss the rest of the season.

“He was doing really well, it’s a real shame for Brent as he’d strung a whole heap of games together and was looking good,’’ Burgess said.

Campbell Heath has also had LARS surgery to repair the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Heath’s operation was successful and he now has a chance to rehabilitate before the end of the season.

“He was pretty keen to go with the LARS as he’s had some success with that in the past,” Burgess said.

Burgess says Heath’s recovery will take approximately three months.
