End Game

While the Crows had the upper hand over Port Adelaide for most of the second half, Port’s defensive pressure and ability to clear the ball at critical moments late in the game helped it over the line.

The Crows controlled possession more, but Port was a superior user with almost 70 per cent efficiency.

The contributions of several players proved the difference in the final quarter, with Travis Boak particularly impressive with 11 contested possessions and five clearances in the second half.

His top shelf performance saw him finish the match with 29 touches.

Match-winner Chad Wingard and a prolific Hamish Hartlett produced similar numbers and finished with 24 and 25 disposals respectively.

Of course, the pair contributed eight goals between them, including Wingard’s match winner.

Kane Mitchell also effected a whopping nine tackles.
