CROWS star Patrick Dangerfield may miss Balfours Showdown XXXV at the start of August after suffering a sprained AC joint last week.

Dangerfield injured his shoulder in the Crows' 27-point loss to Collingwood and will miss his team's match against Geelong on Sunday.

However the midfielder will not require surgery according to afc.com.au and will be sidelined for 1-4 weeks.

If his injury fails to progress, it would mean the league's second-ranked player would be ruled out from the final Port-Crows derby for the season.
