Senior coach Ken Hinkley told reporters at AAMI Stadium the 200cm ruckman Lobbe would return for his first match since the Power's London match in November last year.
"We'll probably go there with a side where we just want to see players who need to play a little bit more," said Hinkley.
"We have a pretty good handle on our senior players and what they're able to do ... we'll probably take a few less of them this week.
"[Lobbe] is one of those players I want to see a little bit.
"He had a little bit of restriction the last couple of weeks [but] we're really keen to see him play with Big Reddo [Jarrad Redden] and get them in the ruck together."
Hinkley also confirmed third ruckman Brent Renouf is progressing well in his recovery from a knee injury last year.
Small forward Cameron Hitchcock will be assessed at training this morning having recovered from a plantar fascia injury sustained in January.
Port Adelaide's Round 2 team will be announced first on portadelaidefc.com.au today at 2.30pm (SA time).
