JASPER Pittard and Dom Cassisi will be considered for Port Adelaide's Round 13 clash with the Sydney Swans at AAMI Stadium.

Pittard, sidelined after damaging his hip flexor in the Power's Round 4 win over the Gold Coast Suns, has been carefully managed throughout his rehabilitation due to an extensive history with injury.

A return against the Swans will give much-needed reinforcement to the club's defensive structures.

Veteran Cassisi will also be considered for the first time after suffering a hamstring injury against Carlton in Round 9.

The club is also hopeful injured ruckman Jarrad Redden may be able to return to football this year and avoid surgery to the shoulder he injured against the Western Bulldogs a fortnight ago.

But it will assess him at training later this week and determine what action to take for the remainder of the season.

Brett Ebert has been downgraded to a one-week proposition after suffering a calf injury two weeks ago, while Jackson Trengove is now 3-4 weeks from making his anticipated return from a long-term foot injury.

portadelaidefc.com.au is the only place where you can get the inside word on the Power's injury situation every Monday in-season. Stay tuned later this week for another update on Jarrad Redden's injury.

Jarrad Redden - shoulder (assess)
