DOM Cassisi could miss between three and four weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in Port Adelaide's 18-point loss to Carlton at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Cassisi was visibly staggering from the ground early in the final term and early reports from the club's medicos suggest he may spend up to a month on the sidelines.

Senior coach Ken Hinkley confirmed Cassisi's latest setback post-match.

"Certainly he's done his hamstring and you'd imagine that's going to be a 3-4 week injury for someone like Dom," said Hinkley.

"He's had his challenges in the front half of the season at getting his body fit.

"When he plays he gives you what he's got, you love having him out there.

"Unfortunately we're going to have to deal without him for another month."

portadelaidefc.com.au will confirm the severity of Cassisi's injury in its weekly Injury Update on Monday afternoon.
