CROWS captain Nathan Van Berlo has confirmed Ben Rutten and Patrick Dangerfield are set to return for his team in this week's Balfours Showdown XXXV.

Speaking at the traditional Balfours Showdown XXXV press conference, Van Berlo said both senior players were likely to return from injury against Port Adelaide in the local South Australian derby on Sunday at AAMI Stadium.

"He'll (Rutten) certainly come back for us this week which will be very handy," Van Berlo said.

"I'm not sure where he'll line up, he hasn't played (up) forward for a while, that's for match committee to decide.

"I think Pat (Dangerfield) will be right ... he's just got to get through training for us this week."

Lewis Johnston is also set to play for the Crows after a seven-goal performance in the SANFL last week.

Van Berlo all but confirmed his inclusion in the Adelaide side for Sunday.

"He can't do much more at the moment, he's playing some outstanding footy in the SANFL for North," he said.

"He kicked seven goals again yesterday and is certainly putting his hand up for selection."

The three likely inclusions come after news Adelaide's key forward Josh Jenkins will miss the Balfours Showdown with a fractured ankle.

Jenkins suffered the injury in Adelaide's loss to Fremantle last week.

Shaun McKernan is also a chance to miss the Balfours Showdown after spraining an ankle against the Dockers.
