31 points. That’s all. Not more, not less.
Last week Trav moaned and groaned about losing to me by 21 points, well, this week I know just how he feels, with Gray’s Greats going down to Team Boak by a mere 10 more.
I’ve got less trades than Trav, and less money in the bank as well, so I’ve got to make sure that I make the most of the players that are available on the cheap if I’m to knock TB off their perch.
I think I might personally hold onto the trades for another week, although I’m mightily tempted by the form of Melbourne’s Jordan Gysberts, with his stocks seriously on the rise, and I’m very disappointed that Daniel Stewart has not managed to come up for the game against the Swans this week - I’m expecting a break-out game on the field and in Dream Team any week now, once he maintains his spot.
Here’s this week’s possible options for players on the bubble:
Daniel Stewart has gone up $17,100 from his base price, but at only $106,600 he’s an absolute bargain for anyone hunting a cheap forward.
Jordan Gysberts continued on from a great first game at Geelong to score another 70 odd points against Carlton. This is the last chance to get him at bargain basement prices, so make sure that you bring him in if you need a mid whose stocks are on the rise.
Leon Davis is an interesting one - he’s the biggest slider in the AFL, with his price falling some $172,500 from his starting price, seeing him now only costing $262,900. He looks pretty sharp against the Bulldogs last week. He’s definitely a buying proposition.
Congratulations to John May whose team Drop Kick Muleus got the highest score in the Official Pizza Hut Power Dream Team Group this week with a score of 2,430. He’ll be digging in to a week’s worth of free pizza thanks to Pizza Hut!
