Brett Duncanson has been re-appointed as president of the Port Adelaide Football Club.
The PAFC board unanimously elected Mr Duncanson after his nomination as a director was ratified by the SA Football Commission on Friday morning.
Mr Duncanson - who has served on the board since 2005 and been president since 2009 - thanked his fellow board members for their endorsement.
“It is my privilege to serve as president of the Port Adelaide Football Club and it is an honour to be continuing,” Mr Duncanson said.
“As a board, we’re all focused on getting on with the job of serving our membership and making the Port Adelaide Football Club successful in the AFL and SANFL as well as financially strong and independent.
“I also thank the SA Football Commission for their endorsement and look forward to working with the SANFL and its clubs.”
The SA Football Commission also accepted the PAFC Board’s decision to re-nominate Nick House for a further term as director.
Bruce Abernethy will continue as a member-elected director. Mr Abernethy was the only person to nominate for the vacant position, meaning the club was not required to hold a member election in 2011.
