The Bulldogs were soundly beaten by the Swans at the SCG, with the red and whites piling the goals on in slippery conditions.
Speaking after a contract extension announcement, Bulldog livewire Luke Dahlhaus said he expects his teammates to bounce back against Port Adelaide this Sunday after what he felt was a mere blip in his side’s development.
"You can tell just from our performances, not on the weekend but leading up to that, we are getting so much better," said Dahlhaus.
"I'm very confident that in the next few weeks we'll be very good."
"We're definitely going to learn from it [the loss to Sydney].”
The Bulldogs enter the game after a week off with their turn to take the bye coming last weekend.
The Bulldogs are also expect to come out ferociously to honour their only premiership captain and coach, the late Charlie Sutton, who passed away last Tuesday.
