PORT ADELAIDE coach Mark Williams is considering recruiting a third Motlop to Alberton.

Northern Territorian Steven Motlop is the brother of Port Adelaide dynamo Daniel and cousin of 2008 debutant Marlon, and Williams said the talented small forward would be monitored closely in the November NAB AFL Draft.

"We've spoken to Steven and it's amazing – he's almost a Daniel clone. He's only a skinny guy at the moment, so who knows?" Williams said.

"Steven is certainly someone we'll look at – that's for sure. It's really dependant on what's available at what pick. We won't pick them out of order, but if he's there – we'll have a lot of picks – and there is an opportunity to pick him [we will]."

Williams is also impressed with highly-fancied South Australian key forward Lewis Johnston.

"We interviewed Lewis back in Adelaide and I've been nothing but impressed with what he's done. He tried hard and he's a good kid," Williams said.

With Port Adelaide having the fourth selection in the NAB AFL Draft, Williams said he is eager to know how the first three picks – Melbourne (No.1), West Coast (No.2) and Fremantle (No.3) – will be played out.

Jack Watts, Nicholas Naitanui and Daniel Rich are the favourites to fill the first three spots.

"If someone could tell me the top three – that'd be great," Williams said.

"We've interviewed probably 60 or 70 people and they were fantastic kids and you'd love to pick them all. They've all got great aspirations in front of them and some are going to go the journey and some are going to miss out."
