Port Adelaide’s director of coaching and strategy told portadelaidefc.com.au the talented defender has a foot injury and will be assessed at training this week.
The injury was a bitter pill for the young Pittard who played one of his best games since returning from a hip flexor injury against Sydney two weeks ago.
“Basically the crutches are just there to take the load off his foot, he’ll be an ‘assess’ and he’d be a 60/40 chance to play,” said Richardson.
“He’s more likely to play than not I reckon.”
Tall forward Daniel Stewart was a late withdrawal from Sunday’s SANFL game between North Adelaide and the Eagles.
At this stage he remains a one to two week proposition to return from a hip injury.
Travis Boak and Brad Ebert looked to be battling at various stages of Sunday night’s game against the Bombers, but Richardson said both would be fine to play the Hawks on Saturday.
“No issues, that’s footy, the guys get sore but they’ll be fine,” he said.
The recoveries of Dom Cassisi and Brett Ebert continue to progress on track.
Both are at least two weeks away from a return, while Kane Mitchell will be available to play this week.
