Nick Lower was cleared to play against St Kilda by the match review panel on Monday afternoon.

The tough defender was reported by umpire Scott Jeffery on Sunday for ‘making forceful contact from front-on’ but the match review panel saw it differently on Monday, releasing the following analysis…

The match day report against Port Adelaide's Nick Lower for making forceful contact from front-on against Fremantle's Brett Peake during Sunday's game was assessed. It was the view of the panel that Lower approached the contest bent down and with his right hand down in an effort to gain control of the ball. Although Lower did make high contact with Peake, he had no realistic alternative way to contest the ball. No further action was taken.

Lower has played the past six games in succession after going almost two years without a match for the Power.
