Power supporters will be able to upgrade their tickets to undercover seating for just $5 at Friday night’s game against St Kilda at AAMI Stadium.

With Adelaide’s weather unable to decide on rain or shine, the club is offering (as a one-off) Power season ticket holders and pre-purchased daily ticket holders (adults and concessions) the chance to sit in the Northern Grandstand for just $5 (normally $15). All kids can upgrade for free.

To upgrade, ticket holders simply have to scan their tickets at the gate as usual, then make their way to the Services level of the Northern grandstand where a SANFL ‘Red Coat’ will be set up near the lift. Supporters can then upgrade their ticket and make their way up to their seat.

The game will begin at 7.15pm tonight, five minutes later than the originally scheduled 7.10pm start, to allow for the Anzac commemorative service.

Tonight’s game, sponsored by the SA Government Defence Unit, will be a celebration of the 60th anniversary of Australia’s involvement in international peace operations.

There will be a full commemorative service including the Ode to be recited by ex-Australian Federal police officer Mr Wally (Walter) Trenordan, who served in Cyprus.

Key times for tonight’s game are:

4.45pm – Car parks open
5.00pm – Planet Teal Zone opens
5.15pm – AAMI Stadium gates open
6.25pm – Players warm-up on the ground
6.40pm – Nova’s Lisa Fernandez & the Power’s Paul Rugala officially welcome the crowd / On-field activity
6.45pm – Power Funk Squad, Thunda Power, Power 22 all onto ground
7.07pm – Commemorative Service begins

Tickets are available from the AAMI Stadium gates from 5.15pm tonight. Prices start from:

- All Kids tickets (under 15) - $2.20
- Adults from $18.50
- Concession from $11
- Family (2 adults, 2 kids) from $37.00

Meanwhile, the Port Adelaide Football Club in conjunction with the South Australian RSL will tonight award an Anzac Medal – Peter Badcoe VC Medal – to the Port Adelaide or St Kilda player who best exemplifies the Anzac Spirit.

Tonight’s Anzac Medal, which as been donated by the RSL, is named in honour of the late Major Peter Badcoe VC, who was the last South Australian to be awarded the military’s highest honour for bravery, the Victoria Cross.

Major Badcoe’s Victoria Cross was awarded for not one but three actions of bravery in Vietnam which occurred between 23 February and 7 April 1967. They were; the rescue of an American medical adviser whilst moving across gun fire swept ground; the leadership of an attack over open terrain to capture a heavily defended enemy position; and the rallying of his men after they were stopped by heavy fire, during which he was killed by machine gun fire.

The Peter Badcoe VC Medal will be awarded to the Port Adelaide or St Kilda player whose conduct and play during the game best exemplifies the Anzac spirit - skill, courage in adversity, self sacrifice, teamwork and fair play.

The Medal will be judged by a seven-person media panel and awarded on the ground immediately after the game by Sapper Michael Brailey, the great nephew of Major Badcoe.

Tonight will be the fourth time the Peter Badcoe VC Medal has been awarded. Previous winners of the medal have coincidentally all been Power players and include Josh Carr (2004), Warren Tredrea (2005) and Brendon Lade in the club’s corresponding game against St Kilda last year.
