PORT ADELAIDE is racing into season 2016 with record support, having signed up over 50,000 members before Christmas.
The Christmas bonus for Port Adelaide comes on the back of a current 90 per cent renewal rate of 2015 season ticket holders, and a spike in the number of new 11-game general admission members leading into the new year.
While Port Adelaide is quickly approaching last season’s record of just over 60,000 members, its head of membership Matthew Richardson says there’s ample opportunity for the club to go beyond that in 2016.
“Our members have been fantastic again leading up to Christmas – they continue to drive the club in everything we do, and we can’t wait to share what will be another massive 2016 with them,” Richardson said.
“Having over 50,000 by Christmas gives us great momentum going into next year.
“It’s really encouraging to have many new members joining as well, especially in our 11-game general admission category.
“This membership provides access to all 11 home games with a choice from other 7,500 general admission seats or standing room options inside the stadium – including the Showdown – for $175, which is a $210 saving on the gate ticket price over the course of the year.”
Membership sales will continue over the Christmas period online at weareportadelaide.com.au, with the Port Adelaide membership hotline 1300 GO PAFC and counter at The Port Club open on selected dates during the Christmas period.
