IT'S BEEN 10years in the making, but on Saturday Port Adelaidefans will finally get the chance to see their team don the club's traditionalblack and white guernsey.
Although mostmembers of the Power squad are too young to remember the 1977 premiershipteam they will honour, all are aware of what that jumper symbolises.
If each of PortAdelaide's 22 players embodies the passion and fighting spirit of the club's '77heroes, the Power will be one step closer to creating history of their own.
Port Adelaide'srecent form: beat Lions by 7, beat Essendon by 31, lost to Carltonby 39, lost to Hawthorn by 34 and lost to Geelongby 56.

Strengths:
Height has longbeen the Western Bulldogs' Achilles heel and an area Mark Williams will no doubtput to the test on Saturday. Aided by the return of Chris Grant and injury toDamon White, the Bulldogs' big man stocks are up, but nevertheless the sons ofthe west were unable to contain Drew Petrie, who got the Kangaroos over the linelast week with seven goals.
Justin Westhofftroubled the Lions with his height and athleticism and could cause Rodney Eadethe same headache. Westhoff, in combination with Warren Tredrea and restingruckman Brendon Lade, will look to exploit the hard running but small Bulldogsdefence of Brian Harris, Lindsay Gilbee, Dale Morris and Ryan Hargrave.
Potentialweaknesses:
Finding amatch-up for Brad Johnson. The Bulldogs' match winner kicked eight goals againstthe Power last season, and coming off a three-goal bag in round 13 is in goodform. Choco has a few options for the strong-marking forward, including thelightning quick Michael Pettigrew.
IronicallyPettigrew was Port Adelaide's best forward last time these two sides met, finishing with three goals, but the 22-year-old has since found his niche indefence. Having played every game this season Pettigrew will relish theopportunity to stand one of the league's best small forwards.
They're sweatingon:
Speaking in thewake of the final quarter fade-out in Brisbane, Mark Williams acknowledged thePower's inability to reverse the momentum once it had swung the opposition's way.The Lions' seven-to-three goal last term almost robbed Port Adelaide of amuch-deserved win. If the Power offer a similar performance against theBulldogs on a high-scoring Telstra Dome surface they may not be so lucky.
Dangermen:
Daniel Motlop:Motlop's six-goal haul in his return game from a broken collarbone may have comeas a surprise to some outside the club. But anyone following the enigmaticforward's season closely knows Motlops best-on-ground performance against theLions was the culmination of eight-months' hard work. Motlop has kicked two ormore goals in each of his five games this season and injury permitting appearsready to prove himself worthy of the Power's number four jumper.
Dom Cassisi:Enjoying a purple-patch of exceptional form, Cassisi is likely to have his handsfull this week with Bulldogs playmaker Lindsay Gilbee. The Dogs are missing RyanGriffen and Daniel Cross, and teams have been able to shut them down byplaying a defensive-forward on Gilbee. Cassisi has successfully played similarroles in the past and has the ability to amass possessions playing in anegating role.
Chad Cornes: Even with the Bulldogs missing Cross and Griffen, the Power will need tocontinue the ferocious attack on the ball they have displayed in the past twogames. Chad Cornes knows no other way and has been a key player in PortAdelaide's fortunes so far this season. Cornes has averaged 27 possessions inhis last two games and kicked three goals against the Bulldogs in round sevenlast year. With passion and pride on the line, expect Cornes to rally thetroops in another dominant display.
It's notgenerally known:
Daniel Motlop'ssix goals against the Lions were the most he's kicked in an AFL game.
