To all Members - thank you for your amazing support during a challenging 2011.

We have all been disappointed by the win-loss record, but we hope that you have seen enough of our future to look forward with greater optimism.

It was wonderful to end the season on a high at Adelaide Oval on Sunday. We saw the team produce the tough, competitive football we know it is capable of and we were on show at the magnificent ground that will be our home from 2014.

Our Members and supporters turned up in great numbers to produce a crowd of close to 30,000, making the day a spectacular success and giving the sporting world a taste of AFL action in the heart of the Adelaide.

Your support was greatly appreciated by the Club, especially the players who are still talking about the boost you gave them on the day.

The year has also ended with fantastic news about the signing of our young stars: Jackson Trengove, Alipate Carlile, Justin Westhoff, Andrew Moore, Matthew Lobbe and the player who has caught everyone’s attention: John Butcher.

We look forward to seeing their development continue under coach Matthew Primus who will have the backing of a strengthened Football Department in 2012.

We hope that we can count on your support in the coming years as our developing team matures and reaches its potential. We know that success will follow, but we need you with us to put ourselves in the strongest position possible as we prepare for the move to Adelaide Oval.

As this season comes to a close, it would be great to see you at the 2011 John Cahill Medal presentation. We will honour the Power’s Best & Fairest player at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Friday 16 September. On the night we will also celebrate our other award winners along with the latest inductees to the Port Adelaide Football Club Hall of Fame.

Thank you again for your support throughout 2011. You made us stronger as we laid the foundations for our future.
